WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
Scaffolding is an online literary magazine honoring art as a powerful mechanism of healing. We believe art can serve as strength during difficult experiences and allow us to achieve catharsis and redemption. Thus, our platform serves as support for people enduring and overcoming any difficult experience—whether that is sexual assault, domestic abuse, depression, discrimination, or just a really crappy day. Of course, we also welcome those artwork created by artists who just use art as a daily means of catharsis that is related to positive experiences; in other words, we aren't too selective in what you send but do care about the quality of what you send.
